The Rhythm of My Day captures the intimate daily rituals and routines parents share with their babies through a variety of songs, chants, and instrumental selections. Upbeat tunes include an Appalachian favorite, "Baby-O," as well as a syncopated dance to the Jamaican song, "Water Come-a Me Eye." A new addition to the Village experience is the use of American Sign Language in class.
Hickory, Dickory, Tickle and Bounce - Research shows the more you expose your baby to nursery rhymes and songs, the stronger those emerging language-learning skills will be. That's why these Mother Goose-like stories and rhymes are the main theme of this class.

Fiddle-dee-dee: We'll meet many animal characters in our books, activities, and songs. Each one is specifically chosen for a toddler's emerging interest and physical skills. With silly, bumpy lap bounces we will help toddler's develop rhythm while further developing their ever-emerging language skills. With a special stringed-instrument emphasis in the music from class, parent's can bring home the violin, cello, and orchestra sounds to help their toddlers continue to be happy and engaged learners at home, too.

Listen as your child astonishes you with his newfound ability to create musical compositions. For your budding musician, Kindermusik for the Young Child provides a pressure-free developmentally appropriate transition where he can musically succeed before taking on more formal instruction. Using a small-group approach to music education, Kindermusik provides the opportunity to explore voice development, rhythm, notation, musical symbols and authentic, pre-keyboard, string, and woodwind instruments. Over the sequential two-year program your child will study the glockenspiel, dulcimer, and recorder and will receive his/her own instruments to take home.
